about me

If you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I had three standard answers for what I did want to me (singer, dancer, writer) and one answer for what I definitely didn’t want to be: therapist. At the time, I was convinced that I “didn’t want to listen to people talk about their problems all day.”

I’ll admit, it’s still a little true. That’s why I’m a behavioral therapist - I’m not just going to listen to talk about your problems, I’m going to help you do something about them. But I’ve mostly changed my mind. As I’ve grown up, I’ve become a little softer, a little kinder, and a lot more interested in people. I am thrilled that I get to spend my days hearing the stories of the incredible people that come into my office and, ultimately, help them write a better ending. As it turns out, therapist is exactly what I wanted to be when I grew up.

That said, you will still catch me singing loudly in my car, dancing at every wedding, nightclub, or fitness class that people take me to, and writing silly little stories on a now-private Wordpress page. And if you want to get me talking, just ask me about my pets (Rory and Rusty!).
