Get the courage to change your life.
We’re here to show you how.
Our approach
encourage (v) - to inspire with courage, spirit, or hope
At Encouraged Psychology, our name is our game. We use a warm, supportive
approach to push our clients to embody courage - the mental or moral strength
to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty.
We do this following three core values:
connection, curiosity, and constancy
“I learned that courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.”
— Nelson Mandela
Who We Treat
We thrive in complexity.
At Encouraged Psych, we love a good puzzle. We specialize in complex presentations that need a unique blend of treatment techniques. We are an ideal fit for clients who feel like they are stuck and have yet to find the help they are looking for.
We take a transdiagnostic approach, meaning that we focus more on the pattern of symptoms than on one specific diagnosis. We see a wide range of presenting problems (including personality, mood, and anxiety disorders) and work to understand how all of the pieces of the puzzle fit together and how to best treat them.
How We Treat
We drive for change.
At Encouraged Psych, we use change-based, behavioral interventions with a positive psychological spin. That is, we push our clients to make positive change, even especially when it’s hard, and we do it all with unwavering support and positivity. We help clients identify the problematic patterns in their thinking and behavior and work hard to change them.
All of our interventions are evidence-based, meaning that they have strong scientific evidence that they work. We will work with you to create a tailored blend of interventions to make sure you get a treatment that works for you.

Dr. Amanda Kramer Eix
For nearly a decade, I have been combining my penchant for positivity with a strong desire to help people grow and change. For that reason, I want you to do difficult things, and I want you to
like it (even when you also hate it).
If you’re looking for a provider that will (gently) push you to change with a healthy dose of humor and a sprinkle of swearing, then I might be a good match for you.
